I made my first visit to the beautiful island of Barra in May 2026. I hired a bike and cycled through the wind and rain (the first heatwave of the summer was happening in Glasgow!) all around the island. Loved these bright orange beacons at the airport. They guide the small aeroplanes in to land on the beach.
